Roadmap

While I did write up a roadmap on my Ko-fi, I figured those checking out the project on itch might be curious about what's going on, without jumping to a different site.

Goals:

First, I want to cover the goals of the project. Digital Museum of Varietas et Rescinieum is intended to be an accessible way for people to see a variety of artwork, and learn about things they might not have before. As certain types of people try to make learning about cultures, science, and history more difficult, this project of mine became more prevalent. This project is just starting, but I hope I can reach dozens, if not thousands of people with it. To simplify, the goals are as follows:

1. Create a museum with a diverse array of artists.

2. Provide parents and teachers with a no to little cost resource for teaching kids.

3. Provide a museum experience for those who can't go to physical museums due to the pandemic or other reasons.

Roadmap

Now, due to the pressures of maintaining a job along with a youtube channel and game project, there are currently no set deadlines. I will continue to update and improve the project. As of April 2nd, 2022, here are the current plans for Digital Museum of Varietas et Rescinieum:

-Add an additional art wing

-Fix missing level bug

-Optimize for more systems, even when taking advantage of UE5's capabilities

-Shrink file size

-Linux builds

-Mac Builds IF necessary funding is achieved

-Gamepad controls

-Interactivity in art wing

-Science wing

Summary

I've got some big goals, and some big plans. I've always been a dreamer, and now, this moment, is when I can actually achieve some of my dreams.

Of course I cannot do it without your help. Financial support of the project, either through selecting a monetary amount before "purchasing" or through going to my ko-fi helps pay for art programs, website upkeep, new hardware, and helps me save for big life milestones. (Plus, it helps fund kitty treats and toys for my kitty) So if you're able to spare the funds, I'd love a little help!
