Hello!

As some of you may know, a folder containing pdfs of documents intended to help educators and parents are included in the Digital Museum!

While a science wing is currently under construction, I've also been looking more into my target audience, and what may be needed. I've discovered the resources when it comes to art curriculums can be rather limited.

So to aid my target audience, I'll be crafting curriculum for the museum, as well as considering non-game avenues of advertising.

Educational games and simulations have always been in an interesting place when it comes to finding an audience, and I intend to go deeper, especially when it comes to funding. (Gotta get kitty treats for my kitty somehow!)

In any case, the curriculum I'll be crafting will still be with the principles of Museum of Varietas et Rescinieum. Diversity, representation, and truth. The curriculum will be divided into general age groups, will focus on individual pieces allowing for it to be spread out over time, and will offer a mixture of art history, art theory, and general history. The curriculum's goals will be as follows:

1. Students will have a greater understanding of how events can shape art movements.
2. Students will learn how to contextualize a person's motives and artworks with the events occurring in their time.
3. Students will learn basic principles of art theory including concepts like foreground, middleground & background, as well as concepts such as guiding lines.

To reflect this focus on being used in art curriculum either by teachers or secular homeschoolers, the art wing will also be more polished in the coming weeks. I hope this more refined focus will result in a much better product!

Disclaimer: I am not a distinguished professor, or even a teacher (as of writing) but rather someone who loves art & history and is using my degree in interactive media to bring that love to others. That said, I do maintain a certain level of rigor in my research, relying on vetted sources for any information shared. Additionally, I keep an eye out for potential biases within both my own thinking, and in my sources. I cannot promise misinformation won't slip through, but I attempt to catch as much as possible.
